IAN MACKRELL

Partner, Risk Management

Ian has more than 40 years' experience working in senior positions within Credit Risk, Management, Offshore, and Investment departments in a number of major financial institutions in the UK and overseas.

Ian has detailed knowledge of today's banking system and behind the scenes processing. Since leaving banking, Ian has continued to advise and assist a number of clients throughout the world in raising finance for major projects and private capital funds in different asset classes and sectors.

Ian adds value for investor clients of Agem by providing various de-risking solutions derived from the banking and insurance markets designed to mitigate the transaction risk.

PETER SOLYMAR

Co-Founder & CEO of Agem Group

Peter has more than 15-years experience in providing capital market strategies and corporate advisory to transnational growth companies and investment firms, including IPOs on a MiFID- compliant Multilateral Trading Facility in the City of London for 3 years.

Peter has developed our institutional IR platform for qualified corporate clients and alternative investment fund managers into a successful global operation since 2015.

Prior to his tenure at Agem, Peter advised on international market expansion of PE-backed technology companies and transactions of institutional asset owners and leading property investment funds in Central East Europe as well as on UHNWI portfolios in the UK.

MIAO YANG

Miao is the Managing Partner of Agem Capital Group in Greater China.

A native Beijinger, Miao Yang has been co-founder and President of Shenzhen Qianhai Hwa Sheng Tai Investments Ltd.(深圳前海华盛泰股权投资有限公司), a private equity investment firm focused on pre-IPO opportunities in China since its inception in 2015. From 2013 until 2014, Miao was consultant of China First Capital Fund, focused on Chinese and European cross-border M&A transactions. Miao Yang was an investment banker, co-founder and CEO of Aegis Asia Capital Corp. and Mass Harmony Asset Management Ltd. from 2006 until 2013, with specific focus on providing strategic, financial advisory and fund-raising services to China-based companies seeking investments in and access to U.S. capital markets including by reverse mergers, IPOs and Nasdaq-listed SPACs among other sophisticated corporate finance solutions.
Miao started his investment banking career with Redwood Capital Inc., a L.A. based boutique merchant banking firm, having served as the General Manager and Chief Representative from September 2005 to July 2006. Previously, Miao Yang served as expatriate country representative and project manager at China National Overseas Engineering Corporation (COVEC), involved in civil, industrial, export of complete plant projects in Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries both on contracting and governmental cooperation basis. He was also involved in domestic construction projects including the China National Grand Theater.

Miao received his M.B.A. from the Business School at the University of Aberdeen (U.K.) in 2003, and graduated from Peking University (P.R.C.) with Bachelor’s degree in 1995. Based in Beijing with his family, Miao became one of the sponsors of Peking University Original Music Base in the spring of 2018.

Based in Hong Kong, Joseph is a senior advisor of the Agem Group.

Equipped with many years of financial and corporate structuring expertise, Joseph founded Joseph Ng & Co., Certified Public Accountants (Practising) in the year 1976. It became a leading regional accounting and corporate consulting firm with branch offices in Guangzhou as well as in Beijing, with the approval of the Ministry of Finance in China.

Joseph was appointed Chief Representative of the Institute of Public Accountants in Australia (IPA) in 2003
for Greater China in charge of membership matters, and in 2005 as Chief Representative in charge of educational affairs for Greater China. The IPA is one of the three legally recognized, prestigious professional bodies for accountants in Australia, representing more than 35,000 members.

Joseph has very extensive experience in working with Chinese corporations, ultra- high-net-worth business owners, financial institutions in the commercial as well as capital markets in both the private and the public sectors, including on government level in the People's Republic of China as well as in Hong Kong SAR. During the course of his extremely successful and productive professional career spanning over 40 years, Joseph has built a truly invaluable "Guanxi", i.e. a vast and powerful network of highly valuable business and investor relationships in China.
